Just beautiful! If I had a cozy blanket and a cup of tea, I probably would never leave! You did a wonderful job of capturing the light ~ Hope you are well and enjoying the start of fall. Sarah
Joan,That's beautiful. Just noticed your porch floor. Do you recall the color? It looks like a very nice gray.Kathleen
hi joan,i just love it when you can capture a fleeting moment like that. your porch is gorgeous and yes i notice your blue and white out there. what a great place to sit and watch the world pass by.~janet
Sarah- just this morning Dan came inside after letting Ella out and proclaimed it felt like Fall! It's definitely on the way!Kathleen- The floors are mahogany, and they have been left to weather naturally. Good eye, as they really are a very pretty driftwood gray color! Last year (this time) when we were interviewing painters to paint the whole house I also wanted them to do a "light" power wash on the porch floors just to clean them up. I can't tell you how many of them (ok- all but one!) wanted to clean them back to bright mahogany and then seal them! Men!!Janet- I knew you would spy the blue & white!
Gorgeous! Still waiting to hear about the incredible b-day present from your hubby!!!!!
What a great porch! I love fall days where the sun is shining but there's a crisp fall breeze.
Joan, What a beautiful porch. I could spend an entire summer out there taking in all that warmth, sunshine and scenery. Trina

What fabulous light - and what a beautiful porch! It's windy and rainy in the UK and I'm stuck indoors - but while I do the ironing, I shall imagine that I'm sat on that porch with a cup of tea and a good book - lucky you! x
One word: JEALOUS!
What a perfect "back porch"...what a great spot for a cuppa tea and a chat with a good friend :)
