Just love it. I want to do my whole farm house over now that I've seen what you've done. I have for SOOO long wanted to reupholster with linen - but three dogs make me hesitate. The kids are old enough to respect it now, but the dogs...? hmmm....
I was surprised to see this. I love it! I just reupholstered my dining room chairs the same way. Imagine my surprise when I saw yours. Of course my backs were leather not vintage alligator. :(
Hello new friend! I just discovered your blog and share your love of New England, love of pets, and love of design. I am deeply in envy of your kitchen fireplace...that brick is simply wonderful. Looking forward to following your adventures.
Love the 'gator back. :) I have a chair I bought at the Stoke-on-Trent Flea Market about 12 yrs ago that has yet been reupholstered, but soon...very soon. :)
Did you live in Europe or did you pick up lovelies during your travels? We lived in Belgium for three years. I miss it so much. :(
I love the chair! What a great find- beautiful fabric choices! I also loved visiting the flea markets in Europe! My favorites are in Tongeren, Belgium and Les Puces de Saint-Ouen in France.
Looks great! Do you happen to have a snap shot of the cabinet behind the chair? I like the mix of items in there. I am getting ready to refill a similar cabinet and am looking for inspiration.
* I've long admired your taste, flair, sense of understated n' simply beautiful, warm style... this chair just proves it. Classically updated, it's just yummy!
I always enjoy visiting your blog, but usually neglect to THANK YOU, soooo, tonight, I say "THANK YOU"!!!
You have an amazing upholsterer. It is always good to reuse and reinvent a piece to your liking. I am excited to find another blog that house beautiful images. I am adding myself as a new follower and I hope that is ok.
