  14. Happy New Year dear Joan & Dan from Millie & MOTH. I love the word 'libation' in your fridge post Joan, MOTH uses it often in association with his emergency cold beer supply. He also refers to the said beverage as 'singing syrup', which was quite apt about 1a.m. this morning. We had a big NYE celebration & he got very tired & emotional around that time & the 'singing syrup' really loosened up his vocal cords!

This photo is beautiful with all the light reflecting around the bowl. I think it might be one of my favorites.
The other one being a beautiful picture of peonies in THE glass vase on your kitchen island.
Here's to a fantastic year following you as you get to know your house a little bit more.

  30. Hi Joan,

Janet--The Gardener's Cottage told me about your blog knowing that I would love it...and she's right! Your home is beautiful inside and out and am looking forward to spending even more time looking around your blog. I love the open shelving with a stack of white towels, a touch of gold and silver and you captured the most beautiful light of the day showing on your crystal bowl.
