Oh, do they look and taste glorious!!! Perfect for a late sun filled afternoon and early evening. how the sun washes across the end irons in the fireplace in the first image and the well loved and lived in chair in the second image is delicious.
Yes, please. Either would be lovely. Your living room looks gloriously warm and welcoming. Give Bella a hug for me and have a lovely weekend with Dan. XOXO Victoria
Ahhh. I have such a sweet spot for a good (french) creme de cassis. Prefer it with white wine...just plain kir...BUT have never been known to turn down champagne anything...and have added chambord to many a wine and champagne....oh....I can TASTE it now.
I love a Kir Royal and haven't had one for years! Both drinks look yummy and sitting in front of the fire drinking them sounds heavenly to me. The perfect start to a weekend.
Why, yes! Champagne by the fire sounds amazing! Your home is so lovely. I enjoy each and every picture that you share. Cheers! Have a fabulous weekend! xo -Lisa
I have not had a Kir in so long ! Thank you for the reminder ;) Being in the middle of a terrible heat wave down here, we have been drinking Sidre, which is just a sweet bubbly cider sort of wine .. refreshing. I have big news .. coming soon ... besos. C
Well, I see I am going to need to go get some more champagne today!!!
Anon- google "antique" confit jars and you should be able to find some sources. Trust your source though, as there are many reproductions out there. If it is a reproduction you are looking for, I just saw one at Home Goods last week. Good luck!
Joan, It's Saturday evening and we've just finished dinner. As I take a look through my fav blogs I can't help but stop and stick my laptop under Richard's nose to show him your spectacular home one more time. We have taken the time to really explore past postings of your home and drink in the beauty of each space. I can imagine you and Dan sitting and enjoying the history of your home, the beauty of the original space and the refurbished rooms, with a little verve music playing ....... enjoying your bevies by the fire. You've worked hard for this special home - a home that was just waiting for a couple like you to love it once again. Enjoy the beauty. Indeed....... Cheers !!
I will take either or both!!! I love champagne! When we lived in Germany there was a man in our village who made his own that he would sell during Fasching, which is carnival time. It was absolutely delicious! Do I see sweet Ella's nose in the picture? Have a great weekend!
Joan you are my kind of girl, opening the bubbly just to start off a nice weekend. I have a bottle in my fridge set aside for when I finish waxing my floors in two weeks! lol Yep I can always find a good excuse to pop the cork.
