i just love it when you can capture a fleeting moment like that. your porch is gorgeous and yes i notice your blue and white out there. what a great place to sit and watch the world pass by.
Sarah- just this morning Dan came inside after letting Ella out and proclaimed it felt like Fall! It's definitely on the way!
Kathleen- The floors are mahogany, and they have been left to weather naturally. Good eye, as they really are a very pretty driftwood gray color! Last year (this time) when we were interviewing painters to paint the whole house I also wanted them to do a "light" power wash on the porch floors just to clean them up. I can't tell you how many of them (ok- all but one!) wanted to clean them back to bright mahogany and then seal them! Men!!
What fabulous light - and what a beautiful porch! It's windy and rainy in the UK and I'm stuck indoors - but while I do the ironing, I shall imagine that I'm sat on that porch with a cup of tea and a good book - lucky you! x
